BGN deputy chief Trenggono seeks exit from active-duty TNI
BGN kept a military role to help distribute Makan Bergizi Gratis in 3T areas as its leadership was overhauled after a corruption case.
The new deputy chief of the National Nutrition Agency, Major General Trenggono, has applied to resign from TNI after being named to BGN's leadership ranks. BGN head Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said the request has been submitted and that Trenggono is also nearing retirement age. Nanik said Trenggono was chosen because BGN needed a territorial expert to handle distribution of the Makan Bergizi Gratis program in 3T regions. She also cited Trenggono's experience as deputy president director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. BGN's leadership change was carried out by President Prabowo Subianto after Dadan Hindayana, Sony Sonjaya, and Lodewyk Pusung were removed; the Attorney General's Office later named the three suspects in an alleged corruption case tied to MBG implementation.
