Prabowo warns MBG partners against misusing funds after BGN case
Oversight of MBG will be tightened with help from BPKP, KPK and Kejagung amid a procurement markup case.
President Prabowo Subianto warned partners in the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi not to misuse funds in the Program Makan Bergizi Gratis after a corruption case ensnared former leaders of the Badan Gizi Nasional. At the MBG national consolidation event at the Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor on Wednesday (3/6), Prabowo said the food program for the public must not be used to enrich individuals. He also asked poorly performing implementers to step aside. The warning came after Kejaksaan Agung named Dadan Hindayana, Lodewyk Pusung and Sonny Sonjaya suspects in an alleged irregularity in MBG 2025-2026 management. Investigators are examining markups in the procurement of 21.801 electric motorcycles worth about Rp1 trillion, 32,000 pairs of shoes, more than 31,000 tablets and 5,400 75-inch televisions.
