Demokrat denies AHY link to MBG graft case at BGN
The denial comes after suspect Sony Sonjaya sought justice collaborator status and said he named more than 20 people to investigators.
Partai Demokrat denied any link between Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and the alleged corruption case involving the Makan Bergizi Gratis program at Badan Gizi Nasional. Herzaky Mahendra Putra, head of the party's strategic communications bureau, said AHY did not know, had never met and had never communicated with former BGN deputy head Sony Sonjaya. Demokrat also rejected claims over the phrase “2 orang kolonel usulan AHY” circulating in social media posts, saying the allegation had no verifiable factual basis. The denial came as Kejaksaan Agung investigated alleged irregularities in MBG 2025-2026 governance. Earlier, Sony Sonjaya applied to become a justice collaborator. His lawyer, Krisna Murti, said his client had provided more than 20 names to investigators.
