Sumbar sends 2.1 tons of rendang for NTT quake victims
Of the aid, 500 kilograms was flown to Manggarai on Susi Air, while the rest went to the BNPB logistics post in Labuan Bajo.
The West Sumatra provincial government distributed 2.1 tons of rendang for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Nusa Tenggara Timur on Tuesday (25/8). West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah handed over the aid at the BNPB National Logistics Post in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency. Of the total, 500 kilograms were flown to Manggarai Regency on a Susi Air plane facilitated by BNPB. The aid was received by BNPB Logistics Deputy Andi Eviana, BNPB Prevention Deputy Abdul Muhari, and Manggarai Regent Herybertus Geradus Laju Nabit. The West Sumatra provincial government said rendang was chosen because it lasts a long time, is practical to distribute, and can help meet the food needs of survivors and field workers for the next few days.
