Komdigi sends 15 tons of aid and 20 Starlinks to NTT quake victims
812 BTS towers in 11 affected regencies are back online, while Padang food aid is expected to reach 5 tons.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital sent 15 tons of logistics aid and 20 Starlink units for earthquake victims in Nusa Tenggara Timur on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026. The aid was handed over at the NTT Provincial Liaison Office in Jakarta by Director General of Public Communication and Media Fifi Aleyda Yahya and received by Christine Editha Mau. The supplies included rice, instant noodles, mineral water, food and milk, blankets, mats, and other basic necessities. Komdigi also distributed Starlink units to support communication and disaster response coordination. According to Meutya Hafid, 812 sites or BTS in 11 affected regencies are now back in operation. Separately, Padang Mayor Fadly Amran sent off a shipment of rendang aid through Minangkabau International Airport; 3.6 tons have been collected and the target is 5 tons.
