Polri provides trauma counseling for child quake evacuees in Manggarai
Ten Brimob personnel accompanied children at the Barangkolong post in Reok to support mental recovery after the quake.
The Brimob Corps SAR task force under the NTT Police carried out trauma counseling for children displaced by the quake at the Barangkolong evacuation post, Mata Air village, Reok district, Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday. The activity, which began at 09.00 WITA, was led by company commander AKP Roy Ronaldo Dansu and involved 10 personnel. Task force commander Kombes Hasripuddin said post-disaster response should not stop at evacuation and basic aid, but also include psychological recovery for victims, especially children. Officers provided interactive support, education and motivation. Residents and parents welcomed the activity, while the displaced children were said to have enthusiastically joined the sessions prepared for them.
