NU congress accepts 1,000-page report from Gus Yahya in Jombang
The plenary session backed the 2021-2026 leadership report, which outlined five transformation pillars and three next steps for NU.
Participants in the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama congress accepted the accountability report of the 2021-2026 Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama, delivered by Chairman Yahya Cholil Staquf at Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas, Jombang, on Friday (28/8). Earlier, Yahya prepared a report nearly 1,000 pages long and said there was no reason for the muktamirin to reject it. During plenary session II, he explained that the PBNU leadership focused its work on five foundations for jamiyah transformation: systems, institutions, human resources, governance, and the khidmah ecosystem. He also highlighted three follow-up agendas: organizational transformation, political repositioning, and activating NU's international role, while acknowledging the work was not yet finished and still needed refinement.
