ESDM sends 48 generators for quake-hit NTT clinics
Power supply for medical services in shelter tents across seven regencies is expected to keep running.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has prepared 48 generators to support health services in areas affected by the magnitude 7.7 earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur. The generators will be distributed to puskesmas tents and emergency health facilities in seven regencies that have faced shortages of electricity. Minister ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia announced the aid while accompanying President Prabowo Subianto during a visit to Lapangan Berdikari in Nagekeo Regency on Wednesday (26/8/2026). In addition to the generators, the Ministry of ESDM and business players in the ESDM sector have set up about 30 emergency posts. BNPB said as of Tuesday (25/8) the death toll from the quake, which struck on 15 August 2026 at 05.58 WITA, had risen to 103.
