Dompet Dhuafa opens medical post, emergency kitchen for 670 households in NTT
Medical teams have begun treating injured victims in Ronting, while urgent needs include medicine, food, blankets, mats and baby supplies.
Dompet Dhuafa deployed medical teams and an emergency kitchen to help survivors of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur. The Disaster Management Center team arrived in Maumere, Sikka Regency, then joined joint SAR personnel to assist evacuations and move evacuees from the Regent's Office to Lapangan Gelora Samador. There, they opened a Pos Hangat for 670 heads of household. Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma also set up a temporary medical post in Ronting, Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency, for physical examinations, initial treatment of injured victims, and monitoring of toddlers and the elderly. BNPB previously reported 38 deaths, two serious injuries, 11 minor injuries and about 2,000 evacuees after the earthquake on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
