BEM UBK Prepares June 15 Protest at Istana with 6 Demands

BEM Universitas Bung Karno will hold a demonstration titled “Tata Ulang Indonesia” at Istana Negara in Jakarta on Monday, June 15, 2026, starting at 10:00 WIB. The action carries six demands: a temporary halt and review of the Makan Bergizi Gratis and Koperasi Desa Merah Putih programs; a review of the Police Law; an end to militarism and stronger civilian supremacy; steps to maintain rupiah stability and national economic resilience; fulfillment of inclusive and affordable education rights; and a reassessment of higher BBM prices. M. Abdi Maludin, chairman of the UBK Faculty of Law BEM, said about 200 internal UBK students are being prepared to join the protest, with the number likely to rise if students from Universitas Pamulang and Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta also take part.
