What's new: Febrie Adriansyah was detained after questioning and accused of money laundering while serving as Indonesia's top anti-corruption prosecutor.

Indonesian authorities arrested former anti-corruption prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah after seizing about $19 million in multiple currencies and 74 kilograms of gold bars from his home and other properties. Assistant Attorney General for Oversight Rudi Margono said Febrie is accused of money laundering tied to his time as the country's top anti-corruption prosecutor. Febrie stepped down on July 11, days after raids on properties including his house outside Jakarta. After hours of questioning on Friday, he denied wrongdoing and told local television he was being "criminalized." His lawyer, Febri Diansyah, said he hoped the legal process would be fair. The case was opened by police before being handed to anti-corruption investigators in Febrie's former office.
