APPSI and Jasindo send aid for Flores quake victims
APPSI's Rp150 million aid and Komnas Perempuan's call for priority distribution come as relief efforts continue for vulnerable groups.
APPSI and PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia distributed humanitarian aid for residents affected by the earthquake in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. APPSI sent about Rp150 million in assistance through the East Nusa Tenggara provincial government, including ready-to-eat food, instant noodles, bread, pillows, blankets, sarongs, mats, mineral water and other supplies transported in two trucks. Jasindo also sent ready-to-eat food through the East Nusa Tenggara provincial disaster agency, BPBD Provinsi NTT, to support basic needs during the emergency response period. The Magnitudo 7,7 quake hit Flores on 15 August 2026, and the East Nusa Tenggara provincial government declared a 14-day emergency response status through 28 August. As aid is distributed, Komnas Perempuan urged that deliveries follow affirmative principles so vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, people with disabilities, sick survivors and women are prioritized.
