TNI denies deployment of troops to Polda Metro Jaya overnight
New: TNI acknowledged providing security at Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah's home on 8 July at the request of Kejaksaan Agung.
Mabes TNI denied social media claims that armed troops were deployed to Polda Metro Jaya in the early hours of Thursday, 9 July 2026. Head of TNI's Information Center Brig. Gen. Muhammad Nas said the report was false and urged the public to watch for provocation. By Thursday afternoon, Polda Metro Jaya had not issued an official explanation for a video showing several people in camouflage uniforms in front of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate building. Kejaksaan Agung also denied that any members of Jampidsus or Satgas PKH went to Polda Metro Jaya. Separately, TNI acknowledged providing special security at the home of Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah on Wednesday, 8 July, at the request of Kejaksaan Agung, under Perpres 66/2025 on protecting prosecutors while carrying out their duties.
