TelkomGroup opens free internet at NTT quake shelters
At Gelora Samador Maumere, IndiHome 200 Mbps is running with SIM cards, data vouchers and a Rp1 emergency package.
TelkomGroup has opened free communication and internet access at a number of evacuation centers after the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur to support the emergency response and recovery period. In Maumere, the Telkomsel Disaster Preparedness Post is operating at Gelora Samador, GraPARI Maumere and TAP Rajawali Maumere. Other posts in Mbay Nagekeo, Borong, Ruteng and other parts of Flores are still being prepared. At Gelora Samador Maumere, Telkomsel is providing IndiHome 200 Mbps service and Mesh WiFi, which evacuees are already using, including for children's film screenings by Polres Sikka. TelkomGroup is also distributing SIMPATI starter cards, data vouchers and a Telkomsel emergency package with 3 GB of data, 1,000 SMS and 300 minutes of calls for Rp1 for seven days. A 24-hour toll-free hotline, 0800-111-9000, is also open.
