Polda Bali and Metro send 17 trucks of aid to NTT quake victims
The 17-truck shipment is being flown from Halim to NTT as more than 5,000 people remain displaced after the M 7,7 quake.
Polda Bali and Polda Metro Jaya sent a total of 17 trucks of humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in Nusa Tenggara Timur. The supplies were taken to Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma to be flown to the affected area, adding to 27 tons of aid delivered earlier by TNI. BNPB said more than 5,000 residents were displaced after the magnitude 7,7 quake on Saturday, 15 August, and 48 people were reported dead.
Polda Bali dispatched five trucks from Denpasar on Monday, carrying bottled water, instant noodles, milk, biscuits, blankets, tarpaulins, diapers, thin mattresses, foldable mattresses and tissues. Polda Metro Jaya sent 12 trucks the same day with bottled water, ready-to-eat meals, baby porridge, sardines, blankets, sarongs, sleeping mats and tarpaulins. Distribution is being prioritized to evacuation sites in NTT.
