MAKI Urges Kejagung to Search Febrie Home in Kebayoran

The push came after Febrie was named a money-laundering suspect in a case tied to 74 kilograms of gold and Rp543 billion in cash.

Masyarakat Anti Korupsi Indonesia is urging Kejaksaan Agung to immediately search the private home of former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah in Kebayoran, South Jakarta. MAKI coordinator Boyamin Saiman said the move is needed after Kejagung named Febrie a suspect in alleged money laundering. Boyamin said the house must be searched to resolve the case openly, especially because Polri had previously been said to have planned a search there. He also suspected evidence may already have been removed; if no assets are found, he asked investigators to examine the possibility of obstruction of justice. In this case, Kejagung linked Febrie’s suspect status to the discovery of 74 kilograms of gold and Rp543 billion in cash at a house in Sentul. Tim 9 chairman Rudi Margono said the alleged money laundering was related to Febrie’s time at the Prosecutor’s Office.
