Kejagung Rejects JC Bid by Sony Sonjaya in MBG Corruption Case
Investigators say the former BGN deputy chief was the main actor in SPPG point sales and has not admitted wrongdoing.
Kejaksaan Agung rejected the justice collaborator request filed by suspect Sony Sonjaya in the corruption case involving the Makan Bergizi Gratis program. Jampidsus Investigation Director Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi said investigators judged the former Deputy Head of Badan Gizi Nasional to have failed to meet two key requirements. First, Sony was considered the main actor in determining or verifying Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi points, rather than a secondary figure helping expose those above him. Second, in his latest examination he was deemed not to have acknowledged the alleged actions. Even so, Kejagung said the information Sony provided would still be used to clarify the 2025-2026 MBG governance corruption case. Sony had earlier sought JC status through his lawyer, Krisna Murti, after he was named a suspect on 3 June 2026.
