Bima Arya denies being implicated in MBG graft probe
His name appeared on a list of 26 people reportedly provided by former BGN deputy chief Sony Sonjaya while seeking justice collaborator status.
Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya denied involvement in alleged corruption in the management of the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program. His name circulated on social media after former National Nutrition Agency deputy head Sony Sonjaya was said to have submitted 26 names suspected of being linked to the case when applying to become a justice collaborator. Bima said his role in MBG was limited to carrying out the Home Ministry's duties under Presidential Decree No. 28 Tahun 2025, namely helping resolve obstacles in the program's implementation with regional governments and the BGN. He said his coordination with BGN leaders took place in official meetings and was not tied to personal interests, including ownership of MBG kitchens. In the case, the Attorney General's Office has named former BGN chief Dadan Hindayana, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung as suspects.
