In Manokwari, Gibran gives away 3 bikes and 2 instruments at Pesparawi

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka handed out three bicycles and two musical instruments to five participants in the 2026 National XIV Pesta Paduan Suara Gerejawi in Manokwari, West Papua, on Saturday. During the opening ceremony, he called three children and two teenagers to the stage and asked where they came from, what schools they attended and what prize they wanted. The three children were asked to choose the color of their bicycles, while the two teenagers picked a keyboard or a guitar. In his remarks, Gibran also pointed to Lapangan Borarsi, which is now being used for Pesparawi after it was still under construction when he visited in November 2025. He linked the event to messages of peace in Papua and more even development, including hospitals, markets, the Trans Papua road, Sekolah Rakyat, Kampung Nelayan and the Makan Bergizi Gratis program.
