Gibran buys school supplies for 120 orphanage children in Gorontalo
Each child got a Rp500 ribu voucher before the new school year, with participants from six LKSA in Gorontalo.
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka bought school supplies for 120 orphanage children in Gorontalo City on Friday (19/6), ahead of the new school year. The event involved children from six Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak (LKSA), who shopped for items such as notebooks, uniforms, coloring tools, and shoes at Toko Buku Ramedia. One participant, Putri Silfana Mamu, a seventh-grade student from Panti Asuhan Safaz Ain, said she received a Rp500 ribu voucher. Darul Qur'an Moosalamati Foundation chairman Niko Ismail said the assistance eased caregivers' concerns about the children's school costs. The program was held during Gibran's working visit to Gorontalo to inspect Bendungan Bulango Ulu and prepare to open PENAS XVII 2026.
