Trump threatens new Iran strikes if 60-day ceasefire deal fails

What's next: A Geneva signing on June 19 would extend the truce 60 days and open talks on Iran's nuclear program.

President Donald Trump said at the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, that the United States could resume bombing Iran if a proposed memorandum of understanding breaks down or Tehran does not "behave." The accord, expected to be signed in Geneva on June 19, would extend a ceasefire by 60 days and set a framework for negotiations over Iran's nuclear program and other disputes. G7 leaders welcomed the interim deal and called for a ceasefire in Lebanon, while also backing efforts to diversify energy routes away from the Strait of Hormuz. The war has killed more than 7,000 people, mostly in Iran and Lebanon, and left unresolved questions over sanctions, enriched uranium and Hezbollah.
