Badan Pusat Statistik recorded Indonesia's economy in the second quarter of 2026 growing 5.29 percent year on year, slower than 5.61 percent in the first quarter but above 5.12 percent in the same period last year. BPS Deputy for Balance Sheets and Statistical Analysis M. Edy Mahmud said GDP at current prices reached Rp 6.552,1 triliun and GDP at constant prices Rp 3.576,2 triliun. On a quarterly basis, the economy grew 3.73 percent, while cumulative growth in the first half reached 5.45 percent. CNBC Indonesia noted the result was also above the consensus of 15 institutions that had forecast 5.12 percent.
