Raymond/Joaquin fall 2-1 to Goh/Izzuddin in Indonesia Open final
The hosts again leave Indonesia Open empty-handed, after Jonatan Christie also finished runner-up.
Indonesian men’s doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin fell short of the Indonesia Open 2026 title after losing 21-13, 18-21, 10-21 to Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin in the final on Sunday at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta. Raymond/Joaquin controlled the opening game and led 14-9 in the second. But after the score was tied at 14-14, the momentum shifted to the Malaysian pair, who raised the pace and applied pressure on key points. In the deciding game, Goh/Izzuddin looked steadier and closed out the match 21-10. The result extends the hosts’ title drought at the Indonesia Open; the last Indonesian men’s doubles champions were Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo in 2021.
