Prabowo installs Tandyo as Army chief, shifts Maruli to deputy
The reshuffle also places Kristomei Sianturi at BNPB in the same round of appointments in Jakarta.
President Prabowo Subianto installed Army General Tandyo Budi Revita as Army Chief of Staff and Army General Maruli Simanjuntak as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Military at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (15/10). In the same ceremony, Lt. Gen. Kristomei Sianturi was named head of BNPB. CNN Indonesia also reported that Prabowo appointed two deputy defense ministers, Air Marshal Yusuf Jauhari and General Richard Tampubolon, as well as Alim Setiawan Slamet as deputy agriculture minister. ANTARA described the handover of the Army chief post from Maruli to Tandyo as part of a broader restructuring of strategic posts within the TNI.
