Prabowo attends 79th Cooperative Day at GBK, highlights 80,000 cooperatives

President Prabowo Subianto attended the main ceremony for the 79th National Cooperative Day at Indonesia Arena in the Gelora Bung Karno complex in Jakarta on Sunday, July 12, 2026. He was scheduled to give directions at the event, which the government is using as a marker for the start of the operational phase of the red-and-white village and urban cooperatives. Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said the program is being carried out under Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2025, which targets the gradual formation, development and revitalization of 80,000 cooperatives across Indonesia. Ferry said about 30,000 cooperatives have been established and the number is targeted to rise to 40,000 by the end of this year.
