Government keeps MBG running despite BGN leadership change

The government said the Makan Bergizi Gratis program will continue while the National Nutrition Agency, or BGN, undergoes internal reform. Presidential Chief of Staff Dudung Abdurachman said the change in BGN leadership and the ongoing legal process show the government is not ignoring problems at the agency. He said the move is part of efforts to improve governance so the program is more transparent and accountable. The remarks came as disputes over the implementation of MBG and oversight of BGN drew scrutiny.
