KPK pauses MBG probe after Kejagung moves first
KPK has not closed the case administratively and is awaiting an internal case review before deciding its next step.
KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said the agency has not halted its investigation into alleged corruption in the Makan Bergizi Gratis program at Badan Gizi Nasional. However, KPK is temporarily not taking further steps because Kejaksaan Agung moved on the case first and has already carried out coercive measures. Setyo said KPK is still at the investigation stage, so there has been no administrative closure. He also left open the possibility of coordination and sharing investigative findings if needed. According to Setyo, the data held by KPK is likely similar to material already received by Kejaksaan Agung, including documents from BPKP. Earlier, Acting KPK Investigation Director Achmad Taufik Husein said KPK would hold an exposure meeting to confirm follow-up on the findings it has collected.
