UBK law student body leader admits receiving money after June 15 protest
He said about 20% of the promised Rp20 million was split among executives, alumni and BEM FE UBK.
The chairman of the Faculty of Law student executive body at Universitas Bung Karno, Muhammad Abdimaludin, admitted receiving money tied to the "Tata Ulang Indonesia" rally on June 15, 2026. In a circulating video clip, he said the money was delivered through a police officer he knew via a UBK alumnus so the crowd would not move to Patung Kuda, Central Jakarta, and would agree to closed-door mediation with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Abdimaludin said the funds he received amounted to about 20 percent of the total promised, which another report put at Rp20 juta. He said part of the money was used for personal needs and distributed to the leadership of BEM FH UBK, BEM FE UBK, and two alumni. The Palace, through Deputy State Secretary Minister Bambang Eko Suhariyanto, said it would check the circulating information. As of publication, Abdimaludin and Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief had not responded.
