Part-time PPPK teachers open to full-time roles in 2027

The DPR and the government have finalized a teacher-restructuring scheme that opens two paths in 2027: part-time PPPK teachers can be appointed as full-time PPPK, while full-time PPPK teachers will be allowed to take part in the PNS selection in early 2027. DPR Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said the scheme covers teachers under Kemendikdasmen, state madrasah teachers, and kindergarten teachers. Minister of PANRB Rini Widyantini said there are currently 995.245 PPPK teachers and 231.246 part-time PPPK teachers. The government also projects a national need for 526.689 teacher posts, including for Sekolah Rakyat, Sekolah Terintegrasi, and Sekolah Garuda. Commission II of the DPR said the move addresses teachers' demands and rejects claims that PPPK teachers would be laid off.
