Seven ministries and agencies have won Ministry of Finance approval, while work on 7,952 permanent homes is targeted to start in September 2026.

The government is setting aside Rp100.1 trillion for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction in Sumatra, with completion targeted by 2028. Head of the Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force Muhammad Tito Karnavian said the funds are allocated to 32 ministries and agencies, and requests from seven of them have already been approved by the Ministry of Finance. The task force will review implementation of the programs every week. In the housing sector, the PKP Ministry has begun tendering for the construction of communal permanent housing and is targeting work to start in September 2026. The ministry has been allocated Rp2.2 trillion to build 7,952 huntap units in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. Maruarar Sirait asked regional governments to finish land preparation quickly so the project is not delayed. PLN is also preparing power networks at the huntap sites.
