Golkar and PAN factions praise Prabowo speech at MPR session

The Golkar and PAN factions in the DPR praised President Prabowo Subianto’s state address at the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, 14 August 2026. Bambang Soesatyo said the speech underscored priorities of national self-reliance, public welfare, food and energy security, and more efficient state governance. Putri Zulkifli Hasan said the address provided direction for development and boosted public optimism. In the speech they highlighted, Prabowo outlined 2026 first-half economic growth of 5.45 percent, investment of Rp 1.010 trillion through the first half of 2026 with more than 1.4 million jobs created, and 121 transformative policies in 21 months. They also pointed to his claim of food self-sufficiency, with the caveat that the results must translate into better welfare for farmers and fishers.
