Police guard Gatot Subroto, inspect cars ahead of MPR session

Security around the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, has been tightened ahead of the 2026 MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI on Friday morning, August 14. On Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto leading to the MPR/DPR/DPD RI building, police began guarding several points early in the morning, while security officers inspected car trunks entering the parliamentary area. Polda Metro Jaya is preparing situational traffic management starting at 08.00 WIB to adjust vehicle flow as President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to arrive and deliver a state address at 08.30 WIB for the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence. If access from Gatot Subroto is restricted, vehicles will be diverted to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda and other roads around Senayan. The event security involves 8.095 joint personnel.
