Dukcapil restores documents for NTT quake victims, 1,934 issued
The team brought 6,000 KTP-el blanks and Starlink so displaced residents can still access aid, schools and health care.
The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration, under the Home Affairs Ministry, opened mobile services in areas affected by the Nusa Tenggara Timur earthquake to replace lost or damaged identity documents. At the Aeramo Parish post in Nagekeo, officers issued 300 documents on Aug. 25, including 108 electronic ID cards and 93 family cards. In Talibura District, Sikka, services on Aug. 26-27 produced 1,634 documents in Nangahale and Kringa villages. The NTT Disaster Response Dukcapil program ran from July 24 to Aug. 28 and covered Manggarai, Manggarai Barat, Manggarai Timur, Ngada, Nagekeo, Ende and Sikka. Director General Teguh Setyabudi also handed over 6,000 KTP-el blanks, ribbon and Starlink equipment to speed document printing in the field.
