BNI, Jamkrindo, and Pertamina send initial aid to Flores
BNI said 24 of 25 outlets in Ende-Maumere remain open, while Pertamina is maintaining fuel, LPG and avtur supplies.
Several state-owned companies are distributing initial aid for victims of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, while keeping key services running. BNI sent mineral water, rice, instant noodles, eggs, cooking oil, milk, biscuits, baby diapers and kitchen equipment to Ende, Borong, Labuan Bajo, Maumere and Ruteng. The bank also said 24 of 25 outlets in the Ende and Maumere area are still operating; the Borong KCP is temporarily closed after cracks appeared in the building, with services shifted to O-Branch. Jamkrindo is channeling basic necessities through BNPB. Pertamina is distributing tents, medicines and staple foods, while maintaining supplies of BBM and LPG. avtur is being prioritized at Labuan Bajo and Maumere airports, while solar is being prepared for heavy equipment handling landslides on the Trans-Flores Ende-Bajawa route.
