BTS performed at the halftime show of the 2026 World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, United States, on Sunday (19/7) local time. The seven-member group — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — performed “Dynamite” in an 11-minute segment, with lyrics altered to fit the soccer setting. According to BBC, the halftime break in the Spain-Argentina final was extended to 27 minutes to accommodate the Super Bowl-style concert. In addition to BTS, the stage featured Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Burna Boy, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Gustavo Dudamel with the New York Philharmonic, and The Muppets. The event was produced by Global Citizen, which aims to raise 100 million U.S. dollars for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
