Trump Opts for Economic Pressure on Iran, Delays New Strike Option
Trump said Washington is not in a hurry to act and is watching Iran's weakening economy instead.
U.S. President Donald Trump signaled that Washington will rely on economic pressure against Iran rather than quickly launching a new military operation. In an interview with Axios cited by Republika, Trump said the approach is being pursued in a way that is “not too conspicuous.” He also said the U.S. is still negotiating with Tehran while monitoring Iran's economic conditions. According to Trump, any confrontation with Iran will eventually “end well.” The signal comes as Washington and Tehran remain tense, amid back-and-forth negotiations and the threat of military action that had previously surfaced.
