Singapore Targets 3 More Indonesian Firms in Haze Case
The move brings to 10 the Indonesian companies ordered to extinguish fires, stop burning and submit action plans to NEA.
Singaporean authorities have again targeted three Indonesian companies suspected of being linked to forest and land fires whose smoke reached the city-state. The National Environment Agency (NEA) said on Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, that there were indications smoke from the concessions of PT Buana Megatama Jaya, PT Mananjung Hayak and PT Baratama Putra Perkasa helped contribute to the transboundary haze. The three were told to deploy firefighting personnel, prevent the spread of fire, stop any burning still underway, avoid starting new fires and submit action plans to NEA. The step came three days after NEA sent similar notices to seven other Indonesian companies. With the addition, a total of 10 companies have been targeted under Singapore's Transboundary Haze Pollution Act.
