RSUD Soekardjo employee resigns after mocking BPJS patient

Management said NZ is a part-time PPPK administrative employee, not a health worker, and her status is now being processed by BKPSDM.

RSUD dr Soekardjo in Kota Tasikmalaya employee Norma Zahara resigned after drawing widespread criticism for mocking a BPJS patient, Yurizal Tri Chaerawan, who complained of waiting up to eight hours for treatment. RSUD dr Soekardjo chief director Budi Tirmadi said the resignation letter was received on Thursday, 6 August 2026, and then forwarded to BKPSDM because her employment status is tied to a local government contract. According to Budi, NZ is not a health worker but an administrative staff member with part-time PPPK status and has worked there for more than five years. Before resigning, she posted a video apology on social media. The case surfaced after Yurizal's post on Threads prompted unsympathetic comments from several medical and health employee accounts.
