Raymond/Joaquin reach Indonesia Open 2026 final by beating Sabar/Reza
The unseeded pair won 21-15, 21-18 in 42 minutes, giving Indonesia a second finalist.
Indonesia men’s doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin reached the final of the Indonesia Open 2026 after defeating Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in the semifinal at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (6/6). The PBSI national training center duo won in straight games 21-15, 21-18 in 42 minutes. Raymond/Joaquin applied pressure from the start and led 15-10 before closing out the first game 21-15. In the second game, Sabar/Reza briefly led 6-2, but Raymond/Joaquin recovered, moved ahead 11-10 at the interval, then handled the key points more effectively to finish the match 21-18. The result marked their biggest achievement on the BWF World Tour Super 1000 level and ensured Indonesia will have two representatives in the final, after Jonatan Christie earlier advanced in men’s singles.
