Rachel/Febi fall in the Indonesia Open 2026 semifinals
The Indonesian pair led 16-14 in the second game but lost focus, dropping the match 17-21, 16-21.
Indonesian women’s doubles pair Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum were stopped in the Indonesia Open 2026 semifinals after losing 17-21, 16-21 to China’s Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday. The world No. 14 pair were slow to settle into the first game and trailed 3-7. In the second game, Rachel/Febi played more aggressively and built a 4-0 lead, then kept the gap at 7-3. They even led 16-14, but lost momentum after a miscommunication and allowed the shuttle to drop on their side of the court. Liu/Tan then turned the match around and closed it out in straight games. Rachel and Febi said the match against the world No. 1 pair offered important lessons for evaluation ahead of their next tournament.
