Prabowo submits 2027 budget bill, delivers state speech in DPR-MPR

President Prabowo Subianto delivered a state address at the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI-DPD RI at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, then presented the 2027 APBN bill and the Financial Note at a plenary session of the DPR. The program, usually held on Aug. 16, was moved to the previous business day because the date falls on a Sunday this year. In the morning session, the meeting was chaired by MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani together with DPD Chairman Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. The afternoon session was chaired by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani and attended by 463 DPR members. In his budget presentation, Prabowo said the APBN is a tool to protect the people, strengthen the nation, and realize the ideals of independence.
