Prabowo sets 8 national priorities in 2027 budget plan
State spending is set at Rp 4.097,2 trillion, the deficit at 2.4 percent of GDP, with 2027 growth targeted at 6 percent.
President Prabowo Subianto set out eight clusters of National Priority Work Programs in the 2027 draft state budget he presented at a plenary session of the House of Representatives at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (14/8). The eight priorities cover food sovereignty; energy and water self-sufficiency; education; health; downstream processing and industrialization; housing infrastructure and disaster resilience; the people’s economy and villages; and poverty reduction. To fund them, the government plans state spending of Rp 4.097,2 trillion and state revenue of Rp 3.426,0 trillion. Financing is set at Rp 671,2 trillion, with a deficit of 2,40 percent of GDP, down from the 2026 state budget target of 2,68 percent. The government also targets 2027 economic growth of 6 percent.
