Prabowo appoints 2 deputy defense ministers, Wamentan, Wamen Imipas
Yusuf Jauhari and Richard Tampubolon also received promotions, with the two deputy defense posts split between logistics-tech and strategy-doctrine.
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated four deputy ministers at Istana Negara in Central Jakarta on Thursday (15/10/2026), including two deputy defense ministers, one deputy agriculture minister and one deputy minister for immigration and corrections. The two officials assigned to the Ministry of Defense are Marshal Yusuf Jauhari for logistics, defense industry and technology, and General Richard Taruli Horja Tampubolon for strategy, doctrine and force development. Both also received promotions. In addition, Alim Setiawan Slamet was sworn in as Wamentan and M Maulana Bungaran as Deputy Minister for Immigration and Corrections. The appointments refer to Presidential Decree No. 42/M of 2026 for the remainder of the 2024-2029 Merah Putih Cabinet term.
