Man United weigh Carrick exit after 3-0 loss and 8-game skid

What's next: United are considering Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann as replacements after the club fell to 16th.

Manchester United are considering whether to dismiss Michael Carrick after a 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth extended the club’s winless run to eight matches. The defeat followed a 4-1 loss to Como in the Champions League and left United 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone. Carrick also drew scrutiny after dropping captain Bruno Fernandes for the Bournemouth game. BBC Sport reported senior club figures were in serious talks over his future, while Republika, citing ESPN, said Eddie Howe and former Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann were among the options being weighed. Kieran McKenna and Antonio Conte were also mentioned as possible candidates.
