Meta launches 2 new AI models as it pushes deeper into frontier race
What's new: Wonder and Wonder Full will be available in Meta's Muse app for paid subscribers, extending its push beyond advertising.
Meta introduced two new artificial intelligence models, Wonder and Wonder Full, in a bid to close the gap with OpenAI and Anthropic. The company said the models perform at frontier level and pointed to benchmark data from Artificial Analysis showing gains over Meta's earlier Spark models and some systems from rivals including Google. The launch adds to Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg's broader AI expansion, which included a $14 billion investment in Scale AI in June 2025 and the hiring of co-founder Alexandr Wang to lead Superintelligence Labs. Meta said the new models will soon be offered through its Muse personal agent app for paid subscribers only.
