Menkop seeks Rp1.34 trillion more for 80,000 Kopdes in 2027

Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono has requested an additional Rp1.34 trillion in 2027 to speed up the operations of more than 80,000 Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih that have already become legal entities. In a working meeting with Commission VI of the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Thursday, Ferry said the ministry's indicative ceiling now stands at Rp542.89 billion, bringing the proposed total budget to about Rp1.88 trillion. The extra funds would support two major agendas: organizational operations, including planning, monitoring, human resources, infrastructure, regulations and internal oversight; and cooperative strengthening, such as business capacity building, governance, workforce competitiveness, digitalization, financing and health supervision of cooperatives.
