Amran Seeks Rp22.43 Trillion More for Kementan in 2027

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman asked for an additional Rp22.43 trillion for Kementerian Pertanian in 2027 during a working meeting with Commission IV of the DPR in Jakarta on Wednesday. With the extra funding, the ministry's indicative ceiling, now Rp23.23 trillion, would rise to about Rp45 trillion. Amran said the current ceiling mainly covers basic needs and mandatory programs. The requested increase includes Rp5.5 trillion for Prasarana dan Sarana Pertanian, Rp3.5 trillion for horticulture, Rp3.2 trillion for plantations, Rp1.69 trillion for livestock and animal health, Rp1.7 trillion for agricultural land and irrigation, and Rp2.68 trillion for BPPSDMP. The proposal will be discussed further with Badan Anggaran DPR RI as part of the 2027 state budget process.
