Luis Enrique says PSG's second Champions League title was harder
Luis Enrique viewed PSG's successful defense of the Champions League after beating Arsenal on penalties as tougher than last season.
Luis Enrique said Paris Saint-Germain's second Champions League title was harder to win than last season after his team beat Arsenal 4-3 on penalties in the final at Puskas Arena, Budapest, Saturday (30/5). The title match finished 1-1 after 120 minutes before being decided from the spot. Enrique said PSG had expected the clash with Arsenal to be difficult before kickoff, making this victory feel more special than last season's final against Inter Milan. In the penalty shootout, PSG missed only through Nuno Mendes, while Arsenal's two takers, Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhaes, failed to score. The result made PSG the first French club to win the European Cup or Champions League in consecutive seasons.
