KPK detained two new suspects in the alleged graft case involving the 2023-2024 additional hajj quota: PT Makassar Toraja Operations Director Ismail Adham and Kesthuri Association Chairman as well as PT Raudah Eksati Utama Commissioner Asrul Azis Taba. Both will be held for the first 20 days, June 8-27, 2026, at the KPK detention facility in the Red and White House, Jakarta. With the arrests, the total number of suspects in the case rises to four after former Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas and his special staff member, Ishfah Abidal Aziz alias Gus Alex, were processed earlier. KPK said state losses in the case reached Rp622 miliar based on a BPK audit. Investigators are also still examining the role of Maktour owner Fuad Hasan Masyhur and said the case files for the two new suspects will soon be handed over to prosecutors for indictment preparation.
