KPK searches immigration deputy minister's office, seizes cash

Investigators also searched the West Jakarta Immigration Office and another suspect's home in a Rp145,5 miliar residency-permit graft case.

KPK searched the office of the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections on June 9, 2026 and seized documents, electronic evidence and cash worth tens of millions of rupiah. The search is tied to an investigation into alleged extortion and gratuities in the handling of foreign residency permits within the Directorate General of Immigration during 2022-2026. In addition to the deputy minister's room, investigators searched the West Jakarta Immigration Office and the home of suspect Juniadi Sri Priambudi; from the two locations, KPK also took documents and electronic evidence. The case stems from an OTT on June 2-3 in Jakarta, West Java and Bali. KPK has named eight suspects, including Silmy Karim, and said the suspects are believed to have taken Rp145,5 miliar.
